Smoke and Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detector Permits
A Smoke and CO Detector Permit is required whenever you install, replace, or significantly alter smoke and carbon monoxide detection systems in residential or commercial buildings. This ensures compliance with state and local safety codes and helps protect lives by making sure detectors function properly.
Permits are needed for new construction, major renovations or additions, upgrades to existing systems, or changes in building use.

Burn Permits
A Burn Permit is required for any open burning of brush in the Town of Sandisfield. Permits help ensure that fires are conducted safely, follow state and local regulations, and reduce the risk of property damage or uncontrolled fires.
Burn permits are only valid during the official burn season and must comply with safety requirements, including distance from structures, supervision, and extinguishing equipment on site.

Oil and Propane Tank Inspections
Permits and inspections are required for the installation, removal, or significant modification of oil and propane tanks in Sandisfield.
